Thomas Browne, 'Pseudodoxia Epidemica' (1672)

Full title: Thomas Browne, Pseudodoxia Epidemica or Vulgar Errors (London, 1672)

In Pseudodoxia Epidemica, Browne used reason and experimentation to challenge a number of widely believed misconceptions about the natural world. His final revision of the book came in 1672, the sixth edition since its first publication in 1646.
