Wellcome MS 49, fol. 35r

Situated just before the five simple systems of the body in MS 49, made in Germany c. 1420, the wound man is based on the same human template, as recognisable by their blue underwear. This version of the wound man is made particularly memorable through the animals and insects that attack him.
