This disease woman is situated in a mid-15th century English copy of Pseudo-Galen's Anatomia. Unlike the previous two German examples, her hair is uncovered and flows beyond her shoulders. The fact that the image concerns the pregnant body is emphasised by the foetus depicted in her womb. Like other examples of the disease woman featured in this unit, the manuscript also contains an image of the 'wound man'.
