The Queen's College, University of Oxford

When Robert Eglesfield Chaplain to Queen Philippa founded The Queen’s College in 1341, he named it after his
 beloved Mistress.  Although no mention
was made in the foundation charter
granted by Edward III, in a subsequent charter ‘Philippa, Queen of
England, consors nostra carissima’ is credited with having founded and created the College of Scholars in Oxford. She maintained her goodwill and generosity towards the College even after Eglesfield’s death in 1349, referring to it as ‘our foundation’.
