Shrunken Glove (3D)

Commentary
Shrunken Glove (3D)

The glove was found on the battlefield having been shrunk, according to the family story, by exposure to gas. In its current state it measures 12cm in length, approximately 50% of its original size. The glove is made of leather, by Dent's (see the unshrunken button on the palm side) - a manufacturer of high quality gloves (still in existence with its museum in Warminster, UK), so this was a glove owned by a British Officer. A similar glove is on display at the Imperial War Museum in London.
