Queenette’s Dining Club

Queenette’s Dining Club

In 1980 Cath Rees had the idea of establishing a women’s only dining society. It was to be very egalitarian and all women graduates and undergraduates were to be members, if they so wished. I supported Cath in the establishment and organisation of the Society. Lady Blake, the Provost’s wife, agreed to be the head of the Queenette’s Society and came along to every dinner.
